I started watching Dr Who over 20 years ago on PBS, only Baker was availible then. took me a while to figure out he was not human, as the prior Dr Who in america was american/english? movies that made the Doctor, an excentric old human with his grand daughter... but it has only gotten better over time... there were some doctors I could have done without like Collin Baker, and Peter Davis? davidson? but the rest I have like a lot.

a comparison of acts 15:28-29 where JW get their NO BLOOD rule from to the laws given to NOAH, shows that the BLOOD issue was one of BLOODSHED, murder, more than eating or drinking blood... the penalty in the LAW of moses for drinking blood, if I remember right, was you will be unclean until the next morning...etc.

Help me with some articles for uncyclopedia for JW's
by 5go inmake up something for articles on the presidents.. something on the organization, origins, teaching, and history.. oh and former witness.. .
remember most people reading this will not be witnesses so try to keep it in a outside point of view.
oh and it doesn't have to be true in fact just make something that sounds true.

JW belief continued:
the ressurection: a copy of a faithful deceased JW will be allowed to work forever as one of many worker ants in the new mound, er, earth. The original JW is dead and there is nothing connecting him to the new copy as he had no soul other than perhaps musically. The spirit is seen as nothing more than electricity that powered the original motor, which was allowed to rust away, but the new motor occupies the same space so it is the old motor to everyone else. Most JWs ignore this completely because they were told that the end of the world would be a week from thursday and so they don't have to worry about the fact that they will still die even though they were completely faithful and they worked for a copy's existance and not their own.

Jehovah's Witness meetings [not been to one in 17 years, I could be wrong today]
Tuesday nights-- the book study: the current sales promotional material is throughly explained and memorized.
Thursday nights- part 1- salesmanship 101, public speaking and cold call techniques demonstrated and rehersed. part 2- the sales meeting. weekly update of the sales figures and marketing stradegy techniques to be used plus local financial reports explaining how the no collections at the door must be compenstated by heafty contributions by the faithful.
Sunday mornings part 1- hypnotic induction followed by an ever brightening description of the global ideal and your insignificant and easily replacable part in it. Exhortations to shape up or ship out and how you are always being watched concluded with bathroom break. part 2- indepth study of the current sales offer of the month, the watchtower magazine. you must be thoroughly familiar with this flagship product in order to get it into the hands of those who would have you tarred and feathered for knocking on their doors while they are still hung over.

Interesting news
by Threestars ini have to be sort of careful here because i have a feeling my younger brother, who is an active jw may lurk here.
not that i really care what he thinks, but he could make it very difficult for our elderly mom with her cong.
he lives in another state but it would not bother him in the least to call her or her elders to "warn" them of my now apostate status.

you are not completely OUT until you get rid of the idea of either or... until you can live a life that is not dictated by what JWs want you to do vs what they DONT... rebellion is still enslavement to THEIR ideal fantasy world... so encourage him to think for himself, but do not be too over joyed at total rebellion.

Athiests
by BR25 insorry if i that is the wrong spelling.
i just want to say that i used to be judgemental of athiests, but as a jw backer everyone on here finds nothing but wrong doing with the orginizations.
well i am sure i can find wrong doing with other churches and their teachings as well.

we have only experiences.
beliefs are a subset of experiences
feelings are a subset of experiences.
no one seems able to verify their origin nor their veracity to reality...
so in the end agnostics seem to me to win as the most honest if not the most intelligent (^_^)

Belief And Non-Belief-Are They The Same?
by choosing life inafter reading the frequent threads on atheism verses theism, i find that both are very passionate about one thing, their beliefs.
atheists may not believe in god, but they are firm believers in the abscence of a god and evolution.
theists, on the other hand, are just as firm in their belief in a god and usually creation.

everyone has a Belief System, the trick is to become aware that all Belief Systems are created in gross ignorance and are little more than BS....and so none of them should be taken very seriously by anyone. Belief Systems are experiences, a subset of all experiences and along with raw perception and feelings, they make up everything we experience from a source that no one seems able to verify or define. see MATRIX (^_^)

Nothing.
by Narkissos inperhaps this paradoxical "topic" is one with which we here have dealt a little more, or a little more consciously, than the average population.. we used to have our heads full of beliefs (which we called "truth") in every direction: on theology, on cosmology, on paleontology, on past history, on so-called prophetic future, on heaven above, on earth, on she'ol beneath.
on many things -- current events, traditions, other peoples' beliefs and behaviours -- we had strong opinions which were directly or indirectly (the famous "conscience" matters) part of the same deal.
and of course our life was filled with activities and relationships, a community of "friends," people to "help" or "teach," etc.. then, gradually or suddenly, we came to suspect, often with a measure of terror, that all of this was not what we had thought and might sooner or later turn into... nothing.. this "nothing" is perhaps one of the most scary thoughts to people contemplating leaving the org one way or another.

there are three things that cause pain
injury to body, injury to self image, and injury to ideals or goals [which include others you care about].
by realizing that you are NOT any of them, you can un-attach yourself from them and they cannot harm you any more.
but what ARE you then? The buddhists call this the void, the nothing, but they do not mean non-existant...but they do mean unable to be described or defined. whatever you point to, whatever you can think about, discusss and imagine is not it...so it is NO-THING as all things are concepts and objects of perception.. the perceiver is not among them.
meaning comes from awareness that your next move has consequences for one of the three ways you can be harmed or pleased... in otherwords your expectations... without expectations you find no meaning, yet you do not cease to exist... try it (^_^)

baby killer
by the dreamer dreaming inmany have read 2 sam 12 and simply kept going without seeing that mythical jewish god has murdered a baby because he liked king david.
it seems that believers can justify their fraud almighty no matter what crime he commits.
can anyone serve a baby killer out of love and respect?
